What we believe
At In Nurturing Hands School, we understand the challenges all children face as they begin on their lifelong journey of learning and accomplishment.
Our school is comprised of a diverse community of dedicated parents, teachers, and volunteers who work together to provide a wholesome and nurturing education for students in their early years. At our school, we strive to create a nurturing atmosphere where students feel safe to make-mistakes, learn, and grow as individuals. Our school offers mixed-age, early childhood education for students in preschool through kindergarten.
Inspired by the principles of Waldorf education, In Nurturing Hands School believes that learning is best pursued through doing, not strictly listening or observing. Our belief is rooted in the fundamental anthroposophical value that education should work towards the overall development of students, teaching the whole student from wholes to parts rather than otherwise. Our students are continually involved in educational activities that apply this principle and bring their own unique, sensorial learning experience. Children partake in the simple crafts of baking, weaving, organic gardening, finger knitting, carpentry, pottery, and more.
